Our 1 to 6 day beginner courses will teach you how to windsurf in the picturesque waters of Fuerteventura. Check them out. We are also the only VDWS certified water sports centre in the north of the island. We can issue an international VDWS windsurf licences so that you can rent equipment at other centres on your next holiday.

The plan, day by day
Day1
We pick you up from your hotel or wherever you are staying in Corralejo and take you to the beach where you will be given 3 to 4 hours of theory about the wind, currents, the right of ways, safety and equipment. You will learn to rig a sail, how to handle it on the beach and use the simulator. By the end of that session, you will also go into the water to do board balancing. Days 2 & 3 You will again be picked up and spend 3 to 4 hours on the water learning to sail across the wind, sail , (turning into the wind) and steer. You’ll be able to take your level 1 windsurfing certificate with us at the end of this course. Max group size: 8 persons per instructor. Prices

Before you book
I’ve never done this. Is that a problem?
Not at all. The beginner courses start from zero, on the beach, with a theory lesson before you go near the water. You do need to be able to swim.
What’s included in a course?
Your instructor and the equipment. For private surf and kitesurf lessons you rent the equipment separately. Each course page lists exactly what is included and what the day-by-day plan looks like.
Can I get a licence?
Yes. Flag Beach is VDWS certified. The international VDWS licence is included in our wing foil courses and in our kitesurf and wing foil camps. On kitesurf courses you can add it for €20. With the licence you can rent equipment at other centres afterwards.
