Flag Beach is the only VDWS centre in the north of the island and is authorised to issue international wing foil certificates, and your VDWS licence is included in the price.

The plan, day by day
Day1
This is spent learning about the wind, preparing the gear and practicing on the beach, before then going out on the water. Initially on a SUP board. (1.5 hrs)
Day2
Learning to stand on the foil, water ski instruction but using a foil and being towed behind a boat (1.5hrs)
Day3
Combining the foil with the wing on a foil board (1.5hrs)
Day4
More foil and wing riding (1.5hrs)

Before you book
I’ve never done this. Is that a problem?
Not at all. The beginner courses start from zero, on the beach, with a theory lesson before you go near the water. You do need to be able to swim.
What’s included in a course?
Your instructor and the equipment. For private surf and kitesurf lessons you rent the equipment separately. Each course page lists exactly what is included and what the day-by-day plan looks like.
Can I get a licence?
Yes. Flag Beach is VDWS certified. The international VDWS licence is included in our wing foil courses and in our kitesurf and wing foil camps. On kitesurf courses you can add it for €20. With the licence you can rent equipment at other centres afterwards.
