We operate a mobile surf school; this means we drive our surf students to the beach that is offering the best surfing conditions on a given day. As waves in the Canary Islands depend on the swell direction, size, wind and many other factors and since here in Fuerteventura North we have more than 10 different surfing beaches we can always take you to a perfect beginner/intermediate surf spot. What’s more you can choose the course duration that suits your holiday plans.

Itinerary

Start time: 09:30 or 13:00

Day 1

This 1 day beginner surfing course is run on one of the 10 beaches on the North of the island that is offering the best surfing conditions on a given day. Every surf lesson starts with a good surfer style warm up, including running, push ups, stretching, yoga and much more.

Later on you learn how to enter the water safely, how to paddle to catch a wave and stand up on the board. Before going into the water all students are given the safety brief and made aware of the lesson plan, possible dangers and all the signals/commands used by the instructors.

The 1 day course is aimed at introducing you to this wonderful water sport and showing you the basic learning techniques. You will learn to control, paddle and surf small “white water” waves in shallow water. As 95% of our students want to continue learning after 1 day we strongly encourage you to book multiple day course and get the best deal for you and your friends.

Day 2

The 1 and 2 day surfing course is aimed at introducing you to this wonderful water sport and showing you the basic learning techniques. You will learn to control, paddle and surf small “white water” waves in shallow water. Day 3

The 3 day surfing course is aimed at introducing you to this wonderful water sport and showing you the basic learning techniques. You will learn to control, paddle and surf small “white water” waves in shallow water.

It is our aim to have you standing after 3 days! In these 3 days you will learn how to stand up and primary water safety. We will spend 3-4 hours in the water everyday learning standing techniques, board control, paddling and wipe out survival! In addition to that you will also be given theory lessons on types of breaks, surf board design, equipment, history and water survival and safety.

Day 4

On the 4th day you’ll get more secure standing on the board and beginning to ride some ‘white water’ waves.

Day 5

By the end of the 5 day course you should be standing and getting to feet correctly. You’ll learn how to trim the surfboard and develop a surfer’s stance. You’ll also be able to control the speed and direction of the surfboard as we teach you foot placement and body mechanics techniques.

12 day course

By the end of the 12 day course you should be standing and getting to feet correctly. You’ll learn how to trim the surfboard and develop a surfer’s stance. You’ll also be able to control the speed and direction of the surfboard as we teach you foot placement and body mechanics techniques.

By the end of 12 day course you should become more confident in the waves, be able to paddle through the break, find and surf the best wave on the spot!
